Senior Interface Manager - Deepwater

PROJECT INTERFACE MANAGER - DEEPWATER required by our Client an international oil and gas Operator to be based in Houston.

Duration: 12 months renewable
 
POSITION SCOPE
 
Our Client is planning to develop a commercial oil field discovery and for the project management and engineering team to be located in Houston
 
The Project Interface Manager (PIM) shall take full responsibility for the review, monitoring and reporting of all technical interfaces between the component parts of the project including but not limited to FPSO, subsea facilities, wells and subsystems.
 
The integrity and functionality of all interfaces shall be considered with particular emphasis on process safety and system integrity.
   
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES
 
The PIM shall be the single point contact for all interface activities including but not limited to the following specific duties:
 
  • Establish a team with appropriate skills and experience to coordinate relevant parties and identify all project interfaces and where action is required communicate with the relevant parties on such actions and monitor their effective completion.
  • Establish a project interface coordination procedure and management reporting system to effectively control and monitor the interface activities of the project management team, the project site teams, their contractors and other third parties having a technical responsibility for the work.
  • Establish and maintain a project interface register.
  • Undertake or arrange to be undertaken all necessary engineering analyses, reviews and studies to identify system and facility interfaces covering all project phases from definition of Basis of Design and contract specifications to final handover to Operations in respect of overall and detailed functionality and system integrity hereunder ensure appropriate process safety in commissioning, introduction of hydrocarbons and production operations. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
 
  • BSc or technical degree as a minimum
  • Must have experience in the identification, technical evaluation and subsequent control of interfaces in a multiple contract, offshore field development, preferably deep water.
  • Thorough knowledge of offshore oil and gas engineering during project execution, preferably deep water.
  • High levels of creativity, persistence, curiosity and enthusiasm
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
